Mon, Nov 29. Today was supposed to be the last day of regular visits. Tomorrow was supposed to be “gotcha day” and we would get her passport and travel on the train and have our embassy appts the next few days and get on a plane to home. But we have yet another delay. There are lots of words that want to come out as of this writing but as none of them are nice, we’ll keep them stuffed away for now. A week ago was Ty’s birthday. This Thurs is my big kids’ high school winter orchestra concert. It’s entirely possible I’ve missed another one but I can’t think of which one it would be right now. I have reports that Jack may not have felt well the other day and although I know he’s with people that are perfectly capable of taking good care of him I want to hold him. Bad word, bad word, bad word.
Miss D was quite happy today even though her eyes definitely look worse. Not only are they matted and runny, but it looks like they aren’t too gentle wiping them and they are quite red and raw around the lids. I was given a piece of paper today that seems to be the medicine she needs, but I couldn’t tell if she’s being given it now, and if I were to buy the stuff I wouldn’t know how much or how often to give it. I guess I’ll buy it anyway tomorrow. I thought I was told last week that she was being treated but her eyes look worse every time I see her.
When we left this morning it looked like it was raining so we didn’t take the stroller. But there was no rain so we decided to walk outside for awhile anyway. Unfortunately, the only stroller available was:
Yep, old and busted. M did her best but it seems to have deteriorated even more from our previous visits and was terribly hard to push. One of the front wheels looked broken and the thing insisted on going left at all times. We only lasted about 35 mins with it.

Hang in there Julie!! I'm just catching up on everything with your trip! You'll be home before you know it! By the way, I gave up the afternoon visits once John left(while I was there for the wait) for the same reason as you... too hard to keep Timothy entertained and in one place by myself. Made the morning visits a little better too since he seemed to miss me. hehe
ReplyDeletePraying that things get taken care of and you are on this side of the ocean soon!!
Boy, you sure are a test of patience, aren't you? Making us wait days for updates :) Darn internet connections!! Sorry about the delays and poor Dashlyn's eyes. Is it a cold or some sort of infection? She just needs her mommy full time. Hoping that the next post is of "gotcha day" and that you are on your way home!!
