Our Story

When our son Jack was born with Down syndrome, we found out we had a lot to learn. Not just about the best way to nuture our child so he would grow up as healthy as possible, but about the whole world of special needs. One thing we learned, children born in some countries who have special needs generally don't go home with their mom & dad. They go to baby orphanages. We have decided to adopt one of these little angels, a beautiful girl with Down syndrome. We found our new daughter through an organization called Reece's Rainbow. They advocate for these little ones, trying to get them into the arms of their forever families. Please go visit. There is a button on the left. These children will touch your heart.

Valentine’s Day

I think I must be the only blogger in the world who missed posting yesterday.  But Valentine’s was kinda quiet around here.  Jack started in with a cough over the weekend and started running a fever so no school for him.  Dashlyn had speech therapy so we did get a little bit of contact with the outside world.  And of course she wore pink.

One of the best parts of having a little girl is the hair bows!  I have decided to try to assemble some of my own creation so check out this one:

  3. At least I'm in good company RK!

And I have a confession for you both - I did make the bow and it's pretty cute, but it isn't really stuck to a clip. I just used a clip from another bow and it's holding on by a piece of ribbon. I need to get some clips!

  5. Oh there's my sweet Valentine :) Did she like her new baby stroller? I have to tell you...you know the picture of Dasha that you sent of her in the brown outfit? Well, Ella carries that around with her all the time. I ask her "Who is that?"....."Asha". I am excited that she is recognizing the grown up Dasha now too :)..oh, love the outfit :)
