Our Story

When our son Jack was born with Down syndrome, we found out we had a lot to learn. Not just about the best way to nuture our child so he would grow up as healthy as possible, but about the whole world of special needs. One thing we learned, children born in some countries who have special needs generally don't go home with their mom & dad. They go to baby orphanages. We have decided to adopt one of these little angels, a beautiful girl with Down syndrome. We found our new daughter through an organization called Reece's Rainbow. They advocate for these little ones, trying to get them into the arms of their forever families. Please go visit. There is a button on the left. These children will touch your heart.

Something Cute….

It's very exciting to have something to smile about.  There are too many things to worry about.  So my smile today comes from this cute outfit I found at the children's resale shop.  Pretty much all of D's clothes I've purchased have come from there.  A couple of things I found on clearance at the regular store.  I don't have a ton of stuff, but I do have a few outfits, a jacket, a coat ($5 on clearance!) and a pair of shoes ($5 + 20% off - woo hoo!).  I don't want to go crazy but I don't want to not have anything either.  I’m partial to pink so I fell in love with this:

Look at the buttons – they’re sparkly!

I would like to find a pair of cute sneakers, white with pink.  What size though??  Can’t hurt to keep looking, right?

  1. Of course I am dying to buy her some matching outfits to Ella's but I am afraid to until you see her and what size she is. As soon as you get over there to meet her, you better give me the heads up on if she is big or small. That outfit you picked up is ADORABLE!!!
